California Girls Claim 2 National Titles!

Big congratulations to all of our girls that competed at the National Pageant! We are especially proud of our two California girls who won their divisions and claimed the National Title!

All of the National Pageant award winners will be posted on Namiss.com by this Friday.

National American Miss Nebraska to be honored with a NickTeen HALO Award

Be sure to tune in to Teen Nick on December 10th at 7pm CST for the Teen Nick HALO Awards. There will also be an encore on Nick at Nite at 8pm CST.

National American Miss Nebraska Teen 2010, Jordan Somer (who just placed 2nd runner up at our National pageant over Thanksgiving!) is 1 of 4 teens across the nation who has been chosen by Nickelodeon as a NickTeen HALO award honoree - honoring teens for their outstanding philanthropic work.

Jordan created the Miss Amazing Pageant, a pageant that works with girls with mental & physical disabilities, for her National American Miss community involvement project for Nationals 4 years ago when she was the NAM NE Jr. Teen queen. Now Jordan is making a huge impact in the lives of others and is being honored in A HUGE WAY!!!! ( Ry and I were blessed to be part of the event this year and is was sooo unbelievably rewarding to see how much she is touching these girls' lives!)

Also, during the episode, you'll be sure to see other National American Miss sister queens & staff members, who helped Jordan produce the Miss Amazing Pageant.

Be sure to watch as Jordan is honored by some of the biggest celebrities in the country, including Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey, Ashton Kutcher, Wyclef Jean, Rosario Dawson, & more.

Miss CA Reads at the PDMYoung Actors Workshop

If you don't know about PDMYoung Actors, you've got to check them out! http://pdmyoungactors.com/ Run by Paul-Dean Martin, this is a fantastic organaization allowing kids of all skill levels to experience acting live on stage.

National American Miss California Jr. Teen, Casey Fleckenstein, joined them on Tuesday to help with the workshop. Casey just got back from the National Pageant on Monday, this girl is keeping busy! Here are some pics:

May 16 - Thank you-and thanks for ALL you do. I wish there were more pageants like NAM. I have to admit that when we came last year I was a little hesitant (of course from the bad publicity of T&T on t.v.), however after experiencing last year I was so happy we did it. Apr 13 - NAM doesn't do swimwear in their pageants. That's one of the reasons I allow my 16 year old daughter to do them. NAM is awesome for making girls feel like they are all the best! They have helped make my daughter who she is today. She used to be shy, but now she's outgoing and currently holds the title of Miss Rio Linda for our hometown! Something she would never have done if she had not done NAM before. This will be get 4th year doing it, and I hope she wants to do this until she is no longer able to! Can't say enough about NAM and how thus pageant is run and how is helps girls to become the best they could possibly be!! ~ Cary M.
Apr 10 - I'm so grateful to National American Miss for the skills and confidence it has instilled in me. I was just accepted to my dream school UCLA, and with only 15 spots available in my program, I'm positive the experience of NAM gave me my competitive edge. I highly encourage every girl to try National American Miss. You will walk away with lifelong skills that will prepare you for job interviews, school, etc and the most amazing friends you could ever dream of. Dec 7 - Just to let you know, NAM has really done wonders on my daughter Josey. Last night she had her first band concert (french horn) and she was calm and confident. She said some of the other kids were nervous and she helped to keep them calm. The pageant really helped Josey cope with situations that are out of her comfort zone. ~Kelly O.
