NAM State Finalist - Erika Camacho


SPRINGFIELD - Ten-year old Erika Camacho, a fourth- grade student at Sabis International Charter School, will represent the state of Massachusetts in the National All- American Miss Pageant to be held during the week of Thanksgiving in Anaheim, Calif.
"I'm looking forward to meeting new friends. I'm glad that I am going because I live in Springfield and that is like a huge distance from here," Erika said.
Erika was crowned National American Miss Massachusetts Junior Pre-Teen Cover Girl at the state pageant this summer. The state title earned her the invitation to compete in the national pageant during which she'll have the opportunity to visit Disneyland and tour Hollywood.
"I can't wait to go and take my picture where the stars are in Hollywood, and I can't wait to meet Minnie and Mickey," Erika said.
Erika aspires to become an elementary school teacher and a fashion designer. Her hobbies include bike riding, sewing, coloring, spiritual dancing and reading.
