National American Miss Illinois Queens support helping with local Cancer Support Centers

Here are some great photos of Brianna Lewis, your National American Miss All-American Princess and her fellow Illinois Royalty supporting their local Cancer Support Centers of Homewood and Mokena, Illinois, and Brianna making an appearance at Union Missionary Baptist Church to sing Amazing Grace.

Brianna's mom says "This all occurred on May 17, and was a long, but exciting day. Our team for the Walk was called "Illinois Queens" and was put together by our Illinois Jr. Teen Ashley Fister and her mom. Ashley also sang "Hero" during the walks opening ceremonies. She has the voice of an angel! Brianna and her sister queens had the choice of walking one or three miles or doing the 5K run. Brianna chose to walk 3 miles and finished the race with a new record time for her- 53 minutes.

The Walk was a huge success as the Cancer Support Center raised $55,000! We are glad to have been able to help them reach this amazing goal! After Brianna finished the walk we rushed home for a change of clothes and then rushed over to the church where Brianna had been invited to sing as the National All-American Princess Queen. She sang wonderfully, and enjoyed singing in front of the crowd. She cannot wait to get back on stage again at the pageants!"

Namiss Cover Girl works hard for Earth Month

Here are some fun pictures of Charlottie Cottier, National American Miss WA Jr. Pre-Teen Cover Girl, meeting the Mayor Moak of Kennewick, WA. Meeting with government officials is just one of the great opportunities our representatives have each year. Good job Charlottie for getting in there and making the appointment.

In April Charlottie did some volunteering for Earth Month by cleaning up garbage in vacant lots around Plymouth, WA with her 3 brothers and a couple of girlfriends. The second picture shows Charlottie with her baby brother Eli. The last picture is with Tim, the Richland Parks and Recreation Coordinator, planting trees at Leslie Park with and a group of college students at WSU Washington State University.

National All-American Pre-Teen voulteering at the Making Strides - American Cancer Society fundraiser

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and took time to make sure and do something extra special for Mothers Day. On Saturday, Nicole Renard, your National American Miss Pre-Teen All-American Queen got out and volunteered at and event called Making Strides in Kennewick, Washington. It was a walk to raise money for breast cancer through the American Cancer Society.

Nicole's mom was kind enough to send over a few photo's to share with everyone. It looks like the weather was beautiful and the event was a lot of fun. I'm just curious, did they let Nicole drive the 4-wheeler or just sit there for the picture! :-)

Miss Massachusetts volunteers at her local MS Walk

Camryn Kruger, the National American Miss Massachusetts Jr. Pre-Teen Queen shared some pictures with us from the recent MS walk that she volunteered at. This is what Camryn's mother had to say about the fun event:

"Cammie and her brother we're both greeter's at the front door. They welcomed everyone to the event! Camryn went to this function not knowing anyone there or not knowing anyone with MS. She just wanted to help out and make a difference - by spreading her smile maybe she could make someone else's day. Well the day went great, not only do they want her to come back next year (they named her "Miss Greeter") she was able to make a difference by giving her support to the MS cause.

She was surprised to see that somebody from her dance team was living with MS - you never know what's going on in other people's lives so it's always a good thing to be a positive role model which NAM has helped Camryn become!! She said that just because she won the crown that doesn't mean she put her feet up and do nothing, she needs to get out there and make someone else happy too!! Thanks to National American Miss Camryn has had many opportunity's to make a difference! NAM is and always will be a part of Camryn's life and she plans to keep passing on her smile!!!"
