Serious Community Service

One of the best awards that we give away here at National American Miss in my opinion is our Golden Achievement Award at Nationals. This award is to recognize the participant with the most outstanding record that year in community service. Check out Brianna Woodside-Gomez, your 2008 Miss Oregon Teen! She went to Nationals last November and took home the Golden Achievement Award with an awesome project for the troops.

A recent article in the Oregon City News said "The Happy Valley girl decided she could do more than just the required four hours of community service – much more.
She spent 60 to 70 hours collecting 600 DVDs to send to the troops overseas, and at the National American Miss Teen competition in November, Woodside-Gomez was given the National Golden Achievement in Service Award.

Great job Brianna, that's what National American Miss is all about!

By the way, for any local Washington and Oregon girls, National American Miss is hosting a booth this weekend at the TRAC in Pasco, Washington. If you are in the area be sure to stop by and say hello! www.tcfamilyexpo.com
